Halloween Costume Swap
In partnership with Keep Knoxville Beautiful
Drop off your used Halloween costumes to any participating location and receive a voucher from now until October 21. On Oct. 26th join us at the Goblin Greenway event at West Hills Park from 10:00 am to noon. All voucher bearing guests can select a new-to-you costume! At 11:30, the swap will open up to the general public where people can purchase a costume for a $5 donation to Keep Knoxville Beautiful.
Why swap costumes? It’s a sustainable way to change up your costumes and a great way to clean out your closets. The swap reduces waste (did you know it’s estimated over 35 million costumes are thrown away annually?!?) and it helps others!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
Can I drop off more than one costume?
Yes! Feel free to bring multiple costumes to swap. The more costumes you donate, the more vouchers you receive, the more costumes you may get!
What happens if I don’t find a costume I like?
Swapping is a chance to find something new, but there’s no guarantee. However, any leftover costumes will be saved for next year’s swap!
Do I have to drop off a costume to participate?
While dropping off a costume to swap is encouraged, it’s not mandatory. However, participants with a voucher to exchange will have first pick. At 11:30 am, the costume swap will open to the general public for costumes to be selected for a $5 donation to Keep Knoxville Beautiful.
What types of costumes are accepted?
We accept all kinds of costumes for all ages, including accessories like hats, wigs, and masks.
Can I bring costumes that are missing pieces?
Please only bring complete costumes or ensure that any missing components do not significantly affect the outfit (e.g., a missing hat from a witch costume is acceptable if the main dress is intact).

By reusing costumes, we reduce waste (did you know that it is estimated over 35 MILLION costumes are thrown away each year?!?) and to promote a more eco-friendly approach to holiday celebrations. Plus, it’s a fun way to connect with others in the community!
